Malaria Vaccine - Coggle Diagram

- - - - credibility of tests, if testing for efficacy must be on all demographics as the actual vaccine will be distributed to all people
  - - - Other factors such as dosage, production method, how easily transportable the vaccine is (temperature), differences in efficacy between certain people must all be looked at through tests before releasing the vaccine also

      - However mosquitos are almost everywhere in the world (transfer between countries) and a lot of the population live in places where staying inside their house would not help keep out mosquitos
        
        a solution regarding the mosquitoes would require it to be cheap and easily accessible for the majority of the population, or be able to be done entirely by the government without any action needed from the population
      - Ethics in killing off so many animals, while you can avoid mosquitos, the only effective prevention method likely includes killing off a large portion of the mosquito population in Africa
        
        There may be an impact on the ecosystem if you kill such a large portion of a species
  - - - However, this may mean that other countries are less likely to feel a need to invest in the creation of a vaccine or invest in preventative measures for the African population.
- - - - The technology must first be adapted and used with a parasite, however, which may cause problems impacting the efficacy of the vaccine (trying to get the protein which is expressed on the surface of the parasite could cause difficulty as they are much more complex than a simple virus)
