Symptoms
The most common symptom is myopia, or nearsightedness
Individuals with Marfan are also at increased risk for retinal detachment, glaucoma, and early cataract formation

Curvature of the spine, along with overgrowth of the ribs and chest bone are also common skeletal symptoms
Cardiovascular malformations are the most life threatening symptoms and include a dilated aorta, mitral valve prolapse, enlargement of the pulmonary artery, and risks of aortic tear or rupture
What is Marfan Syndrome?

Affects 10,000-20,000 individuals and is an autosomal dominant condition
There is a wide variety of symptoms found within this disorder, but the main ones include eye, skeleton, and cardiovascular problems
