Key words :
Area=length x width
Product=times
Index form is n by the power of w times y by the power of x
Perimeter=length x width x 2
Mean= add all the numbers together then divide by the number of numbers.
diffrence=subtract
Symmetry=cut into equal parts
Sum=add
Vertices=corners on a 3d shape
Polyhedron=a solid shape with more than 6 faces
Parallel=they never meet
Area of a triangle is height x length divided by 2
Numerator=top number of a fraction
Denominator=bottom number of a fraction
HCF=highest common factor
LCM=lowest common multiple
Ascending=goes from small to big
Descending=big to small
Collecting a like term
If you have a question like 3c+3c would be 6c
If you had 9w+2c+w it would be simplified to become 11w+2c because you can only add or subtract the same terms
EG=a+a+a+a+a+a=6a
The same rules apply.Eg10c-12c=-2c
You can simplify by writing the number of times it repeats

Sphere
Spheres are perfectly symmetrical.
It has one surface, not a face, as it isn't flat.

width, height and depth are the same value

Prime Numbers
A prime number is a number that is only divisible by one and itself
First 10 prime numbers=3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31.
Not all prime numbers are odd EG=2
1 is not a prime number
Evaluate simple algebraic expressions by substitution
If a number/letter is above a letter/number it means divide
Eg=4x and x=3 you would do 4x3=12
If a number is before a letter it means times
Recognise acute, right, obtuse and reflex angles
Obtuse angle
Bigger than 90 degrees
Right angle
Is 90 degrees
Acute angle
Smaller than 90 degrees
Important Angle facts
A straight line has an angle of 180 degrees
A full turn is 360 degrees
Vertically opposite angle is the same
Find the factors and multiples of a number
Factors
HCF means highest common factor
All numbers have a factor of one
Factors are numbers that fit into another number perfectly without a remainder
Multiples
Eg=20 is a multiple of 5
Numbers that are divisible by other numbers with out leaving a decimal remainder. They have to be integers
Finding prime factors
Eg=4=2 x 2
Use prime factor trees
All positive whole numbers can be split in to a product of prime
Keep spitting it into its factors till you have only prime factors at the bottom left
Index form =2 squared x 3 squared which would be 2 x 2 x 3 x3
The order of rotational symmetry in any shape
If it does not look the same after being rotated it has 0 rotational symmetry
How many times a shape can be turned to create the same shape

Recognise and name equivalent fractions :
You can times or divide the denominator and numerator by a number you should get an equivalent fraction.
What ever you do to the top number you do the same with the bottom number and vis versa.
Compare and order numbers
Ordering fractions
First find the LCM of the denominators
Then convert your fractions so the denominator is the lcm
Then do what you did to the bottom to the top
Then order them in descending or ascending order
