- Privilege and inequality in Higher education institutions is a prevalent problem that affects students in current and future timeframes of their studies.
Researchers/Designers have approached this topic more in the context of future timeframes: unemployment. There is a lot of research, movies, essays on university transitions. There are many tips and university measures that help students. Our biggest research source is the students themselves.
Research have explored the topic through ‘academic challenges’, ‘friends and family’, ‘outside constraints’ and ‘identity’. Platforms such as Harambe and LinkUp have tucked unemployment which falls under future timeframes. However the effects of inequality during varsity going into the workforce hasn't been fully tackled
The approach would look into the availability or lack of Maslow's hierarchy of needs and how it influences the intake of your higher education in current and future timeframes.
This goes into designing for social impact, the research is human-centred which links well to ideation
- Why is social media a huge part of our thought process when validating information and how that inlfuences the reception we give to fake news
there is various information depending on how you look at the topic at hand. There are theories and opinions that have been researched in visual communication but the connection between validation and social media hasn't been explored in direct translation to fake media but more in influence
The topic has been broached in instances such as the clinical gaze in popular culture, as well as the trust people put in forums, social media. The influence of media on human thinking(esteem) also plays a role towards the trust element of news in social media

Tibalism is an issue that is faced by a lot of countries. It denotes a sense of nationalism but can lead to problematic issues if taken to the extreme. Researchers have broached the topic before and sources can be taken from how it influences other countries as well
