PRIMARY TUBERCULOSIS - Coggle Diagram

      - Numerous small foci of caseation>>irregular, clover pattern
  - - - a) Incidental bacteremia>Organisms are carried to regions of high oxygen tension
      - b) Miliary TB: widespread hematogenous dissemination
        • usually from erosion of lymph node into a vessels...Microscopy: single granuloma
      - c) Subacute TB:(similar to miliary TB)>>Few organisms>fewer tubercles>Pts. live longer>>larger tubercles than Miliary.
      - d) Organ TB
        
        Organ/Organ system(usually one) involvement due to hematogenous dissemination-Primary site of TB(Dissemination minimal)
