Photochemical Smog is where pollutants, e.g. nitrogen oxides etc. from fossil fuels contacting sunlight. UV light causes them to break down into harmful chemicals, e.g. ozone.
Ozone is harmful when it is lower in the atmosphere, as it causes health problems.
A city with bad photochemical smog is Beijing, China
It is most common in hot sunny climates, because there is moe sunlight.
Temperature inversion is where a layer of warm air is trapped below denser hot and sunny climates because there is more sunlight. It is again more common in hotter countries.,
