You may have students write their scripts in groups or individually. They should discuss the scripts together and then each writes their own so you can assess writing skills here. (FOR OLDER CHILDREN). With the younger children, it would be a better idea to ask them to read out the scripts to the class with you. After the scripts have been discussed, talk about the narrator's role, the length of the lines, and the formatting. Ensure the students understand the meaning of 'climax' and which part of their scene this would be. As groups discuss their scripts, audit the conversations, and sometimes ask questions about what action will happen, when their script will start and end, who will speak, if they will use a narrator, etc. Ensure all students are participating.
