Methods of Development
At 2:50-3:12, he tells us that the sport is dangerous and extreme, and later in the documentary we see that he gets hit by a running horse during the race. It also shows how rough it can get when riding a horse at a fast speed.
10:49, during the race, Cody gets hit by another horse when he got off his horse and tried to hop on his second horse. This causes him to come last in the race.
4:03, he trains his horse for the race. He practices getting on to it. At first, it was scared and flinched but after a couple of times, the horse became comfortable with him hopping on. He practices going around the track with her. As a result, he is able to finish the race in the Calgary Stampede.
Slow-motion

Slows down Cody’s accident during the race when he got off his horse and got hit by someone else’s horse. Adds emphasis on this one scene to show how critical this moment was for Cody.
