Improving Perception
2) Improving Self-Awareness
- Become more aware of our belief values, attitudes, gain a better understanding of biases in our own decisions and behaviour
- Applying Johari window

- People who interact will less prejudiced/ perceptual bias towards one another.

- Way to reduce perceptual biases is knowing that biases is exist
- Example: - Diversity awareness training ( has limited effect)

- A theory that explains employee behaviour in terms of the antecedent conditions and consequences of that behaviour.

- Used in daily life which can influence behaviour of others
Problem :
- Reward inflation
- Behaviourists philosophy vs learning through mental processes.
i) ABS Behaviour modification
- OB Mod attempts to change behaviour (B) by managing in antecedents (A) and consequences (C).
Social Cognitive theory
- States that much learning and motivation occurs by observing and modelling as well as by anticipating the consequences of our behaviour
b) Learning behaviour consequences
- People learn consequences of behaviour by observing or hearing what happened to other people.
a) Behavioural modelling
- People learn not only by observing others but also by imitating and practicing those behaviour
c) Self- regulation
- an important feature of social cognitive theory is that human beings set goals and engage in other forms of intentional purposive action.
