In recent years, our country has made important advances in the recognition of cultural diversity. Currently, the Constitution guarantees the rights of indigenous, Afro-Ecuadorian and Montuvian peoples. In addition, it recognizes the religious, linguistic, artistic and other cultural rights of groups such as adolescents, women, youth groups and people with disabilities. For these enshrined cultural rights to be fulfilled, we must promote respect for the cultural manifestations of others, try to understand them and recognize them on equal terms.
