- To reduce pressure sore
a. Axial suspension
b.Vertical suspension

-
-
uses
- Relaxation- eg in rigidity
- For ms groups with MMt grade 1 or 2

a. Fixed point
• It is common practice to fit stainless steal or plastic covered 5 cm metal mesh around the area of a plinth
• It is usual to suspend the overhead mesh from the ceiling hoists at a height which will allow about 1,5 M clearance between mesh and plinth top
• Hooks on the side of the frame allow lateral fixed points and can be used to keep the small apparatus near at hand
b. Storage
• Storage of slings and ropes can otherwise be on a wall frame of suitable hooks or on amobile trolley
• Hooks that have a large & small curve are used.

d. Slings
a. Single slings
- to support the distal portion of a limb, or to support the hand or foot
• Single slings are made of canvas bound with soft webbing & with a D ring at each end.
.
• They used often to support the limbs, or folded in two as a figure of eight to support the hand or forearm.
.
• They measure 68 cm long n 17cm wide
b.Double sling
- broad slings to support the pelvis or thorax. or thighs together
- Double slings are broad slings measuring 68 cm long by 29 cm wide with D rings at each end,
- and are used to support the pelvis or thorax or the thighs together, especially when the knees are to be kept straight.
c.Three ring slings
- These are webbing slings 71cm long by 3-4 cm wide
- have 3 D rings
- center ring for attachment to a dig clip & the end D rings to make 2 loops.
- These slings are used to support the wrist and hand or ankle & foot.
