Oxygen movement through the lungs

Interventions
Administer oxygen and medication as needed
Elevate the head of the patient and position patient in the semi fowler position
Assess patient vital signs and oxygen saturation
Change patient position every two hours
Patient education
Eating a balanced diet
Restrict sodium intake
Stay out of air pollution; smog; cold, dry air; hot, humid air; and high altitudes.
Eat fewer processed foods and foods from restaurants
Pertinent Assessment Findings
Perform Arterial blood gas test. ..
Perform chest x-ray
B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) blood test.
