Birds
All birds have beaks and claws suited to
their types of food.
Birds have different types of beaks for catching their food
Some birds have sharp and strong claws to capture their prey
Sparrows have short and strong beaks for crushing the seeds
Carnivores
The Carnivores feed on the flesh of other animals.
They have very sharp pointed and curved teeth to chew bones
They also have strong grinding teeth to chew bones.
Insects
The insects have strong biting and chewing mouth organ
Mosquitoes and bugs have piercing mouth organs for sucking blood
Housflies have a spongy pad-like tongue
Butterflies and bees have long coiled sucking tongue or tube called proboscis
Herbivores
Herbivores eat only plants
They have sharp front teeth for biting and strong broad
teeth for chewing
Aquatic animals
All aquatic animals breathe through gills
Gill-slits are the gills on each side of the head,under a cover called operculum
Omnivores
Omnivores feed on plant as well as on the flesh of other animals
Amphibians
Amphibians like frogs have a sticky tongue for catchinginsects like flies,beetles and worms.
A tad pole breathe through its gills and adult frog breathe through its lungs on the land.Under water its breathes through moist skin.
Rodents
Rodents gnaw their foods like seeds and nuts.
They have small but sharp front teeth.
