Social Communication
We say that communication is a learning process that occurs throughout our lives and that requires us to listen to others and be able to return a message.
Communication
Through communication we can express our thoughts, feelings, contribute to our personal and social growth. It is also one of the fundamental acts of the human because we see, hear news, talk to people, send and receive messages.
The media
In our country, the majority of communication belongs to companies or private persons. Others belong to indigenous communities, they are also owned by religious institutions.

The first newspaper was Primicias de la Cultura de Quito, by Eugenio Espejo.
1884.
The oldest newspaper that still circulates is El Telégrafo, founded in Guayaquil.

Influence of the Media
The mass media reach the majority of the population. Therefore, they have the ability to influence people's decisions and opinions. Sometimes people decide to buy a product just by looking a product promotion on television or listening it on the radio.
