North and Central America and Caribbean Region
North America
North America is divided in 5 physical regions: the Western Physical region, the Great Plains and the Canadian Shield.
To the North it boundary with: Artic Ocean and Aleutian Islands, to the South it boundary with: Caribbean Sea and Isthmus of Tehuantepec, to the West boundary with: North Pacific Ocean and East it boundary: North Atlantic Ocean.
The huge island of Greenland is also part of North America.
It is made up of 3 countries. Its biggest country is Canada and the smallest country is Saint Kitts and Nevis.
It is part of the American continent.
Caribbean Region
Some of its islands and countries are: Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, among others.
The Caribbean region has a warm climate and is characterized by beautiful landscapes.
This region includes islets and coral reefs that vary in their topography, they have mountains, fertile lands and even mountains.
Central America
It is formed by of 7 countries and some islands. Some of these countries are: El Salvador, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
Central America is a subcontinent of the American Continent. It is the strip of land that joins the other two subcontinents.
It is a mostly mountainous and rugged region. It has many volcanoes, for example the Tajumulco volcano is the highest peak.
Central America has a tropical climate, although it also depends on the altitude. It does not have many rivers, but it has many lakes, for example Lake Nicaragua.
