Romans 15:4-7
4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
4) Through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. This is what we are welcoming people to...the hope of Christ. We are welcoming them to hear the Word of God proclaimed.
5) Live in harmony with one another in accord with Christ Jesus. A person being warmly welcomed helps a person to see that they are entering a community that is of one in Christ.
6) Together with one voice glorify our Triune God. We are welcoming them to a time when we will all lift our voices together and praise our true and living God.
7) This is the greeter verse! Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
If you have had doubts about the importance of your role as a greeter, let this verse put an end to that!
The incredible way in which Christ has welcomed you into his family, is to be how we strive to welcome others into our church each Sunday morning!

Roles
Bulletin
This position stands at the door to the sanctuary and passes out the bulletin. This position really only requires a warm smile.
New Visitors
This position looks like find our new visitors and warmly welcome them by giving them a gift bag and finding out their name as well as possibly how they heard about CCC. They also give new visitor information (including the age of the visitors families if they have kids and you are able to easily capture that information)
Door
This position is a bit more involved. It requires greeting people warmly with a smile and by name if possible, but it also is good to be able to know who is a visitor and who is a member so that you can possibly connect visitors with a "new visitor greeter."
