THE PEACE CONFERENCE IN PARIS (1919)
On January 18, 1919, the representatives of the victorious countries met at the so-called Paris Conference, under the leadership of the Committee of Four: US President Wilson, British Prime Minister Lloyd George, French Prime Minister Clemenceau and Orlando, the head of the Italian executive. It is the first three, however, who actually led negotiations that the defeated countries were unable to attend.
