In the end, he ended up with both his love and money
This displays that contrast between both brothers

Disappointement and hope is explored:
When Jamal has his head hung low, we as the audience feel upset and disappointed that maybe he won't wing after all
Jamal may get the feeling the his brother let him down in the end being the one time he really need his help
Hope is subtly explored when Latika picks up and Jamal is happy and shocked to see that Latika is safe yet she also picks up the call
