"The Holy Priesthood, after the Order of the Son of God" is the sacred name for God's priesthood. It has been named "Melchizedek Priesthood" to preserve the sanctity of God's name.
THE MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD
Aaronic is an appendage to Melchizedek
Has power and authority over ALL offices of the Church. The First Presidency is the only office able to act in ALL offices.
Power and authority to act, officiate, and administer in spiritual things.
Encompasses office of elder, high priest, first presidency, Quorum of the 12, Quorum of the 70's, evangelists (patriarchs)
THE AARONIC PRIESTHOOD
Conferred upon Aaron and his seed. Is transferred literally and by those who hold the office of the Melchizedek priesthood.
Power to act in ministering outward ordinances like the sacrament, baptism, collecting of tithes and offerings for the Bishop.
Holds the keys of the ministering of angels
The bishop has the power and authority to act in temporal things for the welfare of the members of his ward and the poor and the needy and is a common judge
POWER AND AUTHORITY TO ACT
Decisions of all quorums are to be made in all righteousness, holiness, lowliness of heart, meekness, long-sufferings, faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity.

Privilege of receiving the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven and to have the heavens opened to you
Commune with the general assembly of the church
Enjoy the communion and presence of God and Jesus Christ through covenants
Be fruitful in the knowledge of the Lord
Be counted worthy to stand before God
