        The civilization and order
        
        Justification: Ralph in the chapter has authority, and put his position as chief when Jack wanted to expand his tribe. Ralph is not allowing Jack to do everything he wants, he is making sure they respect the hierarchy and prevents the order on the island to disappear.

        Intelligence and science
        
        Justification: In the chapter we can see that Piggy is intelligent since he makes sure that Ralph and him get food, with the justification of making sure nothing is happening with the hunters.

        Goodness, and also something like Jesus
        
        Justification: He tries to learn and teach the truth, in the chapter he wants to do this, however, he gets kill before doing it. When he discover that the "beast" is a dead pilot on a parachute, he goes to the fire to tell the truth, nevertheless, he gots mistaken by the "beast", thus getting killed by the boys.

        Wildness and violence
        
        Justification: In this chapter Jack declared that the conch does not work in here, thus the democracy applied by Ralph does not work with Ralph, this represents the wildness of Jack. Further, Jack is a hunter, who want people to join its tribe, which represent the violence side of Jack.
- - - - Analysis: Simon's death was no accident, the author is trying to underscore savagery in this scene, meaning the boy's loss of innocence. The fact that they are children wishing him to be murdered is evidence of their emerging savagery.
    - - "We shan't hear it"
        
        Analysis: Jack is referring to the conch that supposedly represents Ralph's authority. Jack is refusing to continue accepting Ralph's authority and challenging him to leadership of the group.
