Participation
Forms of Participation to Choose
Consensus
Promote dialogue between people. Listen to different options. Listen to everyone's ideas Value them and choose together the most convenient for all. A New Idea arises that all people accept. When we make decisions by consensus, we feel motivated to support them and commit ourselves to their realization.
Vote
Allow things to be resolved with a majority. Effective system when decisions must be taken in which many people are involved or when consensus has not been reached. It can leave the feeling of winners and losers. All people must vote on equal terms.
Turn
Rotary and periodic election. In the end everyone has passed through power.
Forms of Citizen Participation
