Be clear, consistent and comply with Government accessibility guidelines (Queensland Government 2017). This includes providing text alternatives for images, links are blue and underlined and using inclusive language (no idioms).
- The Privacy Act 1988, allowing users to choose to be anonymous and notify users of the collection of their data.
- Australian accessibility standards such as unique and appropriate page titles and headings for each screen, clearly indicated fields, clear specific error messages, help instructions, appropriate contrast ratio between text and background (colour contrast) and a five-second time limit for all moving or flashing content
- Must use a fluid width approach with a maximum width for all content elements as per CUE (done through constraints)
- Must use text font "Verdana" as per CUE

- Inclusive and easy to understand language for all ethnicities and ages, catering to the government requirements. This is achieved through the use of basic and common English words/phrases, avoiding idioms and slang (Usability, Accessibility)
- Consistent colour/theme all throughout app, very simplistic design with limited information on screen including only necessary images and buttons. Only key and familiar icons used. Full compliance to the Australian and Government accessibility standards, privacy act 1988, Apple guidelines, CUE and the BSHS visual identity guidelines (Learnability)
- App must easy to navigate, meaning to reach a destination only a maximum of 2 clicks is needed. This ensures all age groups young or old are able to remember and effectively access and navigate the app (Accessibility)
- Interface must be catered and suited for an mobile devices limited screen size, meaning buttons, images and text is positioned to effectively and naturally utilise the space available (Effectiveness)
- Large text size and well sized buttons ensuring all users are accounted for and users with poor vision/unsteady hands aren't disadvantaged (Usability, Accessibility)
- Use of standardised icons for home, setting, menu and wish list tabs, as per those seen in other apps. This is so users can feel familiar and comfortable with the navigation through the app. (Learnability)

User interface
Home
- Will initially start off with 9 categories to select, including All, Free, Arts & Entertainment, Expos & Exhibitions, Family Friendly, Sport, Festival & Celebrations, Comedy and Eat & Drink
- After clicking on a category, you are taken to the event search screen. Here you are shown a list of all the upcoming events relating to the category you selected, displaying an image, title, description and date of event. There are filters to order the list by date (with most recent events showing first), price ascending (cheapest to most expensive), price descending (most expensive to cheapest), time of day ascending and time of day descending. There is a search bar which allows users to search up specific events using key words. There is an air drop button and save button on each individual event so users can share events and save events.
- Clicking on an event will take you to the more information screen, which displays the the events image, name, description, location name, address, date and start/end times, whether event has been cancelled, an events costs, a signup link, where event is repeated, events type, age recommendation and whether bookings are required
- The more information screen will all feature a save and share button incase users need to do so after reading more details about the event
Settings

- Language Options, a drop down will allow users to choose from a list of languages allowing foreigners with poor English to access events in Brisbane
- Feedback box with a star rating, users are able to provide feedback to developers and voice their opinion anonymously
Wish List
- List of Events: The wish list tab shows a list of favourited events, displaying an image, title, description and date of event. Clicking on an item here would take you to the "more information" screen for that event
- Filters: There are filters to order the wish list by date (most recent), price ascending (cheapest to most expensive), price descending (most expensive to cheapest) and saved date
- Share button: Airdrop button, allowing users to share their lists with their friends
- There's a button to delete or share for each individual event incase users want to share 1 event rather than a whole list
