- - - - Having a detailed knowledge of and advising on the board's responsibility to present a fair, balanced and understandable assessment of the company's position and prospects in annual and interim reports, other price sensitive public reports, reports to regulators and information required under statute
      - Should also ensure that the requirements of the FCA's Listing, Prospectusand Disclosure and Transparency Rules are met and be aware of the guidance available on these areas
    - - Assisting the board in an annual review of the effectiveness of the company's risk management and internal control systems including financial, operational and compliance controls
    - - Ensuring that the audit committee is fully conversant with the 2018 Code principles around corporate reporting, risk management and internal control principles
      - This should include the relationship with the external auditors, in particular as regards audit quality, provisions of non-audit services, recommendations for appointment and renewal of auditors and putting the audit contracts out to tender
