Character study chapter 9 - Coggle Diagram

- - - - In the book, she said that "She looked at Neal. "Joren and his friends are out there looking for someone to hurt. I want to stop them."
  - - - In the book, it says that "Not that I'll have to worry, Kel thought dully as she picked up her staff. He knows I'm afraid of heights now. He can say if I'm afraid of heights, I can't keep up with the boys, and I'll be out on my ear."
  - - - In the book, it said that "He's Daine's" Kel started to say "lover," but didn't when she saw Neal frown.
        "Friend?" she supplied hastily.
        
        This is being pitiful as Kel knows Neal has a massive crush on Daine but, she doesn't tell Neal about how Daine's lover is master Numair.
  - - - In the book, it said that Neal said '' And if this wish of yours is so glorious, why haven't you asked anyone to join you, hm? We're all would-be knights, aren't we? If you aren't just enjoying the fights, why not ask for help? '' Kel planted her fists on her hips. ''Because I had no reason to think I would get it!''
        
        This is being independent as Kel knows many other knights that she could ask help from but, she doesn't ask for help. She works all alone, even Neal pointed out that she could ask for help but she does not ask for any help.
  - - - In the book, it said that Neal said'' He crossed his arms over his chest. ''Oh wonderful. You're on a hero's quest to get rid of the bullies.'' Kel glared at him. '' Someone has to!'"
        
        This is being responsible as Kel knows that other first-year pages get picked and no one fights back but, Kel takes the responsibility to take care of the others and attack back against the bullies so that no one else gets hurt.
  - - - In the book, it said
- - - - In the book, Neal said that "When you put it that way, well,
        I guess I'd better help."
  - - - In the book, It says that "Neal slung an arm around Esmond's shoulders." After that, Neal said "Want to join our study group?"
  - - - In the book, it said that Neal said "You don't have to tell me that," Neal said, keeping up with her. "Don't forget, I
        see your bruises every day."
        
        I think that this is being analytic as Kel did not have to even tell Neal about it going to hurt. Neal already knew because he notices her injuries all the time.
  - - - In the book, it said that Neal said "Then what is it? I want to know!" cried Neal, his voice cracking. "I'm your friend
        and what you're doing worries me sick!"
        
        This is being protective as Neal is worried that Kel could get hurt and he even threatens Kel that if she continues doing this, he will call the servants out himself. If this was someone else who wasn't protective, they wouldn't respond like Neal.
      - In the book, it said that Neal said'' It is if I say it is, '' he snapped. '' I mean it, Kel. I swear by Mithros, if you try to leave, I'll call the servants out myself. I'll tell the stump. '' He stood between her and the halls she patrolled, arms akimbo, his green eyes mulish.
