There are 3 different kinds of ecological pyramids.
The first is the pyramid of numbers. In this pyramid, numbers are high for the lowest trophic level (Plants) and low for the highest trophic level. For example 1 shark, 100 fish, 1000 shrimp, 10000 planktons
The second is the pyramid of biomass. For example wolf 4200kg per/km2, fox 2100kg/km2, hare 20,925kg/km2, grass 2.0925 x 10 to the power 7 kg/ km2
The third is the pyramids of energy. For example producers are 100% energy, herbivours are 10% energy, carnivours are 1% energy, apex predator are 0.01% energy
