The enabler (a guide, almost invisible): knows the subject + methodolgy + shares control with learners ---> knows that teaching = working with people and a good atmoshpere is really important. Group discussions, practice by doing. The priority is for learners to talk, we listen to them in order to assess them. Teach and check, don't teach and teach (let them try to use the language only 5% input from the teacher).
The explainer, 90's approach, "The jug and the mug" approach. The teacher knows the subject very well but not the methodology. ! Often pressure to teach in this way.

EXTRA assessment at the beginning of the lesson. Example: what's the weather like? - Vediamo quello che già sanno / SWAP con le immagini (What's the weather like?) / Real forecast (WHat's the weather like in Instambul?)
