Electronegativity
Group 13 elements are more electronegative than the elements of group 1 and 2 . The electronegativity first decreases from boron to aluminium and then increases
After aluminium due to the imperfect shielding effect by the d and f electrons the force of attraction of the nucleus towards electrons increases hence electronegativity
Pi bond formation
The combined effect of size and availability of d orbitals considerably influences the ability of these elements to form π bonds.
The first member of a group differs from the heavier members in its ability to form pπ - pπ multiple bonds to itself and to other second row elements.

Atomic Radius
Atomic radius increases as we move down a group because of increasing number of shells. Order: B < Ga < Al < In < Tl
But atomic radius of Ga (135 pm) is lower than Al (143 pm). D electrons in Ga don't shield nucleus effectively. So, electrons in Ga experience greater force of attraction by nucleus than in Al.
