"natural order hypothesis" says that language is acquired according to a predictable sequence and this sequence remains the same whether classroom learning is involved
Could the syllabus simply follow the natural order hypothesis and would it then resolve the difficulties? - probably not because of classroom factors (students with various existing language proficency)
the need of learner centered teaching - learners would be acquiring their own grammatical systems according to their own internal syllabus
