In recent years, our country has done important advances in the recognition of cultural diversity. Currently, the Constitution guarantees the rights of indigenous peoples, Afro-Ecuadorians and Montuvians. Moreover, it recognizes the cultural rights (religious, linguistic, artistic, judicial, territorial, sexual and others) of groups such as adolescents, women, young people, groups and people with disabilities. For the cultural rights enshrined in the Constitution to be fulfilled, we must promote respect the cultural manifestations of others, seek to understand them, learn from them and recognize them on an equal footing. This recognition is known as "intercultural dialogue” .
