CANE TOADS - Coggle Diagram

      - • Grows to 50-75cm – 1m the most
      - • Olive brown or grey colour with banded scales
      - • Cream belly & • Keeled scales
      - • Look similar to the venomous and dangerous, rough scaled snake.
      - • Found in Northern and eastern Queensland, WA,NSW AND northern territory
      - • Nocturnal and diurnal
      - • Hides under plants, timber and empty burrows
      - • Feeds on frogs, lizards, tadpoles and medium sized cane toads
      - • Eat prey from rear
      - • Eggs layer – up to 18
    - - • Keelback Snake has the evolutionary advantage of being 'pre-adapted' to life with toads.
      - found to eat the small cane toads - eventually discovered to eat medium size toads (varsp)
