Stopping distances
-
Stopping distance depends on the reaction of the driver when it sees the object, but this can also change depending on the weight and the strength of the breaks.
If the driver is: drunk, on drugs, or he is tired, these are factors that could effect the stopping distance.
Reaction time
To test for reaction time, we can use a ruler (30 centimeters) getting two people, one to drop the ruler and one to catch it. You need two people as you would know when you drop the ruler. To measure the reaction time, of the other person, you would use the measurement on the ruler to determine the time taken for them to catch the ruler.
