DEFINITION
Once an employer formally recognizes a labour union, it means that the employer recognizes the union as a legal representation of the workforce with the right to speak on their behalf. Acceptance of a labour union as portraying at least some of his employees or the large percentage of his employees to collectively bargain by an employer. A labour union is recognized by an employer when it makes a deal or negotiates with employees on wages and other job terms and conditions on behalf of the majority of employees.
