definition
referred to blood loss inside the body which is internal bleeding or to blood loss outside the body which is external bleeding.
pathophysiology
escape of blood from the blood vessels into the surrounding tissue. When the vessel is injured haemorrhage continues as long as the vessel remains open and the pressure outside of it. normally coagulation closes the vessel and stops the bleeding.
