How did you integrate technology into your project?
Online
Blogger: Blogger has been the main site I've used to upload all of my blogs. Using blogger to post all my blogs was really easy and good for creating my own brand, it was very easy to use as I had never used it before and as I was able to create my own theme of the blog it gives me the chance to make my blog page and the blogs to stand out
Voice Thread: Before starting my blogs I had never even heard of voice thread but as I started to do my blogs voice thread became my go-to. I used it for a lot of my blog and for one of my final questions, as it was easy to use and one of my favorite things to use for blogs.
Youtube: youtube was one of the useful online websites I used to post videos to so that the link to my blogs was the best quality, also it was the most helpful for reaching information or finding out how to do something to do with the technical equipment
Canva: This was again something that I had no idea what it was and didn't know what it was for, but as I learned it was amazing for making magazine covers, DVD cover, etc. It was good for editing pictures and I even found my intro off of canva as it had almost anything I wanted or needed on it
Prezi: Prezi was something that I had never heard of before starting my blogs, before finding this I would just use PowerPoint but this takes somewhat boring PowerPoint and makes them into something interesting and interactive which helps engage the audience. It was very helpful to put information down and like almost all of these very easy to use and get to grips with it.
Coggle: coggle, or what I am using right now. How been very helpful to use for putting loads of information onto and to get across, I haven't used it as much on my blogs as the type of information I had research and four suited more videos style as it came off better though better on videos, but for the long and lot of information writing was the best option
We transfer: Something that was very important while working in a pair was sharing all our information, research, and context like the final film. It was great to use and made it incredibly easy to share everything I needed with my partner.
YouTube converter: I had used YouTube converts before this but only for little things like downloading videos I liked, but for my blog and the different productions I found out you could use it for audio, so I used it to download non-copy-right audio for my blog and for my two films
Software
premiere pro: When I was looking for better editing software to use for my final production the school had it so I could use premiere pro I wanted to so I tried it out and got used to the controls and key binds and practices then so I would be ready for editing the final product, but because of timing I would be out of school and because of covid I wanted to be able to edit off my laptop if need be so I looked elsewhere to find one with the same layout and keybinds as premiere pro, which is where I found DaVinci resolve
iMovie: I used I movie for my basic blogs and my first production where it was my first time editing something together and trying to make it look like a real movie. It was very basic but good for getting used to editing and was very easy to use.
Voice memos: Voice memos were something that I had used before but never to ka something like a video, using it was very easy and helped with the audio of the videos I used it in a sort of microphone. I tested it out in one of my blogs and perfected how it turned out and also applied it in my final film for some sounds effect ad the podcast
DaVinci resolves: I came across DaVinci resolve when I was looking for editing software to download on my laptop so that I could use it whenever I needed to like this year with covid I didn't want to rely on school computers, which also means I can use it for the blog as well. It had the same key binds as premiere pro so I was used to all the key bind and had similar layout to premiere pro which made it very easy to use
Equipment
Camera: I had used a camera before for taking pictures but never for filming and when I had used a camera before there was never any thought behind the photos I was taking and never used different setting, so coming into filming and storyboard I learnt more about how to use a camera, also what settings to use for a certain condition or for a certain shot.
Laptop: My laptop was a mile and a half the most important thing I needed for everything I did. My laptop had everything that I was doing on it from the editing of the blogs to the planning of the final production, without it I couldn't have done any of it. But having used my laptop before I found out more about it, from the apps I could get on it to help with blog or planning and finding out new ways to get editing done quicker.
Microphone: When I was filming my blog the audio quality was what I wanted it to be, so I tested out using a microphone, which made a huge difference so being it made an impact on my blog I integrated it into my film film
Tripod: At the start of making blogs and doing my production I didn't think I would use a tripod and just do every shot with just me holding the camera. But as when looking at my first blog and final blog there is a massive difference in how good the framing of the video is, with my first video being a bit of, not looing professional.
Phone: I used my phone a lot at the start but toward the end that lessened as I was using and liking to use a camera instead. My phone was still good for the small blogs that shouldn't take long and when I didn't have assess to a camera. I also used my phone for editing at the stat on time then I moved to my laptop and Premier Pro/Da vinic resolve.
