From the interruption of it's blood supply
Causes
Hemorrhage in the brain
People who have high blood pressur,high cholesterol, diabetes and those that who smokes are at high risk of developing stroke
The causes includes loss of blood supply
Clinical manifestations
Tends to have paralysis or numbness on the face
Instability, stiff muscles, reduced sensation of touch
Include trouble withwalking,speaking and understanding
Difficult in swallowing, headache, mental confusion.
Pathophysiology
Hemorrhage stroke is caused by the bleeding or the leaky blood vessels
Ischemic occlusion contribute to closely 85% of casualtiesin stroke
Ischemic stroke is caused by deficient of blood and oxygen supply to brain
With the remainder due gointercebral bleed
Pharmacological management
ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers
Beta blocker, and calcium channel blockers
Pharmacological management include thiazide diurectics
Nursing care plan
During acute phase the effort should focus on survival needs and prevention of further complications
Support of respiration
Depends on a patients phase of stroke
Continuous monitoring of vital signs
Careful position of the patient inorder to prevent aspiration
Management of GI problemms
