Rennaisance by Miguel Carneiro
Techniques
Sfumato
Painting technique which involves blending the edges between colors so that there is a soft transition. This mimics an area beyond what the human eye is focusing on.
Chiaroscuro
Technique for making a woodcut print in which effects of light and shade are produced by printing each tone from a different wood block.
Perspective
Vanishing point: parallel lines converging to a single point.
Foreshortening
Visual effect/optical illusion that an object or distance appears shorter than it actually is because it is angled towards the viewer.
Proportion
Golden ratio, if the whole is out of 100, then the golden ratio is expressed as 38:62. This makes it nearly, but not quite, a rule of thirds.
