Health and Diseases

bad health due to tracks remoteness
also was likely to get wounded from enemies etc.
milk powder and water were common supplies for sick/injured soldiers
things such as diarrhoea was common to get
was a long walk with the sick or wounded back to the evacuation point (Owers Corner)
Mental and Physical exhaustion
Physically tiring track
thin track meaning if one soldier fell back, everyone behind him would also fall meaning these people were mentally tested and driven to the boundary
had to cope with things such as physical exhaustion from heavy loads, carrying the wounded and supplies, muddy parts of the track and harder parts of the track to walk
Supplies
Lack of supplies such as the essentials (food, water and shelter)
common foods included dehydrated mutton
hard to have sufficient supplies for this amount of time
limited in amount of supplies due to the tracks' remoteness
Inexperience
Fuzzy Wuzzy angels had no prior war fighting experience to this and had to learn along the way
This also made it hard for them to transport supplies and injured soldiers while trying not to be attacked and shot by the enemy
A strong and skillful enemy
battle of Kokoda was between Japan and Australia with the help of Papua New Guinea
Japan were a very strong enemy; much stronger than Papua New Guinea alone and their 'Fuzzy Wuzzy angels'
Fuzzy Wuzzy angels were venerable to Japan attacks meaning they had to be sneaky
The 'Fuzzy Wuzzy' Angels
the Fuzzy Wuzzy angels were the name given to Papua New Guinea war carrier by Australian soldiers who carried injured Australian soldiers to safety and supplies to the front line.
did wonderful work
had to suffer due to tracks hardness
at least stayed up all night every night to keep an injured Australian soldiers company
On rainy days, their clothes got soaked and became heavier which forced them to sweat even more on dryer days
Had to had skills for walking harder parts of the track
these people never abandonded an injured/sick soldier
