Aztec Civilizations

Caral Supe Civilizations
Government: An elaborate system of beliefs, rituals, and ceremonies permeated the societies
Location: It was located along the coast of Central Peru.
Daily life:genetically improving plants, treating disease, devising means of public administration, and manufacturing artifacts for ceremonial, business, and sumptuary purposes.
Religion: Chief among the political authorities was the hunu, or "lord of the lords" of the settlements in the valley and along the coast.
Olmec Civilizations
Location: The Gulf Coast of Mexico
Daily life:The Olmec also domesticated the cacao tree and gave the world chocolate!
Government:The key to the Olmecs' rise appears to have been a strong, centralized monarchy. The colossal heads, each one depicting a particular individual, are likely portraits of the Olmec kings who ruled from ornate palaces at San Lorenzo and La Venta.
Religion:The Olmecs were polytheistic, believing in many gods who controlled the natural forces of life.
Mayan Civilizations
Religion: Many gods, king’s blood is sacred, sacrificed animals and some humans

Government:Well organized city states each with a king, war was for tribute

Zapotec Civilizations
Government:Hereditary monarchy
Religion:The religion of the Zapotec is Roman Catholic, but belief in pagan spirits, rituals, and myths persists, to some extent intermingled with Christianity.
Location: The valley of Oaxaca in Central Mexico
Daily life:The majority of Zapotec in all regions are peasant farmers, practicing a mixture of subsistence and cash agriculture with some animal husbandry.
Nasca Civilizations
Government:Politically, the Nazca civilization has been described as a collection of chiefdoms occasionally acting in unison for mutual interest rather than as a single unified state.
Location: Peru, along the South Coast
Religion:The people of the Nazca culture were polytheistic and pantheistic, that is worshiped nature and the mountains, sea, sky, earth, fire, water, etc

Location: It was situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca

Government:The Tiwanaku Polity (Spanish: Tiahuanaco or Tiahuanacu) was a Pre-Columbian polity in western Bolivia based in the southern Lake Titicaca Basin. Tiwanaku was one of the most significant Andean civilizations.
