Australia, newly federated, introduces the Immigration Restriction Act, dubbed the "White Australia Policy" includes a dictation test and was made solely to exclude unsuitable migrants.
The first use of the term "White Australia Policy" is done by William Lane in The Boomerang in Brisbane.
