        Madison College Scholars of Promise program would like to remind you of the option to appeal your denied admission into the Scholars of Promise program. If you have decided to appeal, please complete the attached appeal form and return it by May 1, 2019 via email or in-person with personal statement and any additional supporting documents to Scholars of Promise 1701 Wright Street, Room B1200, Madison, WI 53704. Please reference your official denial letter from the Scholars of Promise program for your specific reasons you would need to appeal.
        If you are missing any of the following, please turn them into Madison College Enrollment Services or Financial Aid Office: ACT Scores, Transcript, FAFSA, and Financial Aid to do’s.

      - Acceptance Letter:
        Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Madison College’s Scholars of Promise program beginning in Fall 2021. You have successfully completed the requirements, and we are excited to have you on board. For over 100 years, individuals have entered Madison College, and have left prepared for success in both the educational and professional world. You will have unprecedented access to renowned faculty and staff to help aide you in achieving your goals.
        Scholars of Promise has partnered with the Retention Initiatives and Student Engagement (RISE) office to provide wrap-around support services. Engagement in RISE will fulfill SoP participation requirements and help secure funding. Should you sign your program agreement form you will be assigned to one of the RISE programs and receive the following high level of student services:
        
        Dedicated Advisor and Success Coach
        
        Access to Supportive Learning Community with academic/personal/financial/career workshops, tutoring, and mentoring
        
        Tools for retention – Personal Education Plan, Progress Reports
        
        Celebration of achievements and completion (graduating/transfer)

        (1) Sign your program agreement form formally accepting or forfeiting our offer to be in the Scholars of Promise program: HERE
        (2) SAVE THE DATE:
        - Scholars of Promise Welcome, Wednesday, July 28 from 1PM - 3PM - RISE Town Hall, Wednesday, August 18 from 1PM - 3PM.
        (3) Scholars of Promise requires all new students to enroll in a hybrid/College Success course known as Learning to Learn Camp that includes a weeklong LIVE course from Monday, August 16 - Friday, August 20 9AM-12PM. The weeklong event is a part of your three-credit hybrid/College Success course and focuses on online learning, college success principles and building learning communities. There are specific sections you will need to enroll in, those section numbers will be shared in a future communication.
        A copy of this acceptance letter will be mailed home along with a handout that explains the programs support services for students and important instructions and expectations.         Thank you for your interest in the Scholars of Promise program at Madison College. Unfortunately, after reviewing your appeal and much consideration, I regret to inform you that your denied status is final as your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is higher than $5,846. We are unable to offer you a place in the program for the Fall 2021, as this decision is no longer able to be appealed.
        Although this might come as a disappointment to you, I encourage you to continue with Madison College as we have many opportunities for you to be successful in your higher education journey. Please review some of the other support services offered at the college:

        Thank you for applying to the Scholars of Promise Program! We have placed you in a preliminary status for the next cohort of scholars. You have not been accepted or denied, but have been given an extension to complete your outstanding financial aid tasks by submitting all required documentation to determine program eligibility. You can find the outstanding documentation in the “To-Do list” section within your MyMadisonCollege Student Center.
        In order to be considered for the Scholars of Promise program you must complete and submit all documentation to the Financial Aid office by July 3, 2020.
