PHASES IN WOUND HEALING - Coggle Diagram
PHASES IN WOUND HEALING
Has 3 phases
Inflammatory phases
Immediately take to 2-5 days
It involves 2 other events
Hemostasis
Occur in the moment that injury occured
Vasoconstriction takes place to stop the bleeding
Blood clotting process is accomplish by platelet aggregation and thromboplastin clot
Inflammation
Vasodilation is initiated by histamine
It followed by phagocytosis of pathogens by the macrophages
Proliferative phases
Takes 2 days-3 weeks to healing
Granulation
They fills the defect and produces new capillaries
Contraction
Wound edges pull together to reduce defect
Epithelization
Epithelial cell spread to moist surface
It travel 3 cm from point of origin in all directions
Remodelling
Takes 3 weeks to 2 years
New collagen forms which increases tensile strength to wounds
Scar tisssue is only 80% strong as original
