I do not completely agree with the statement; There are several types of knowledge and many of them are not produced with difficulty or even at school.
The Portuguese sociologist Boaventura de Souza Santos forged the concept of the "epistemologies of the south" and according to the author colonization process was marked by a violent "epistemicide". Different ways of understanding the world during the process of conquer became invisible and a non-valid knowledge.
I wonder if the production of traditional or ancestral knowledge is produced with difficulty, considering the fact that it must deal and resist to on going process of "epistemicide"
