Absortion:the movement of small food molecules and ions through a wall in the intestine into the blood.
Assimilation: the movement of digsted food molecules into the cells of the body where they are used to become part of the cell.
Digestion:
Egestion: the passing out of food that hasn't been digested or absorbed as faces through the anus.
Ingestion: Is the process of taking of substances such as food and drink into the body through the mouth.
Structure
It has 2 layers of muscle called:
Mechanical digestion: large pieces of food are broken down into smaller pieces, that involves a physical process that is chewing
Chemical digestion: is the chemical breakdown of food, due to enzymes secreted in the mouth, stomach and intestines.
