Cosmological Argument

Big Bang Theory
AGREE
-
Has evidence in support of it, for example microwave radiation, whereas religious response has no proof
Science is all we need to understand the universe, because it takes evidence from materials that actually exist
Solid Theory - 13.8 billion years ago - began the vast expansion - singularity - particles cooled and some clumped together - gas clouds formed - stars, planets and element were created - universe is still expanding today
DISAGREE
-
Can have some evidence, but science still does not have all the answers, and just might not be capable of understanding existence of God

Scientific Responses
Big Bang
Could be the first cause. There is actual evidence for this rather than a philosophical response or faith
Quantum Physics
Explains how some particles can randomly just appear. If this is possible, then who's to say that the Universe didn't just pop into existence
Religious Responses
Fits well with Christian/Muslim/Jewish view of God as the beginning of the universe - omnipotent - omniscient
-
-
-
P3 Therefore, the Universe has a cause for its existence

Conclusion God is the first cause, therefore God must exist
