MAGNETISM
USES OF MAGNETISM
Electromagnets: doorbells, and machines that separate metallic objects from other materials
-
Magnets: bag clasps, doors, many toys, bike dynamos, speakers, microphones, high-speed trains and electric motors

Types of magnets
Temporary magnets: when metallic objects are stuck to a magnet, they become temporary magnets. These new temporary magnets can attract other objects

FORCES BETWEEN MAGNETS

what happens?
If we place different poles near each other, they attract: ATTRACTION
If we place the same poles near each other, they repel:REPULSION
ELECTROMAGNETS
What is it? It is a device that works like a magnet when you connect it to electricity. It stops working when it is disconnected.
How is it made? by rolling copper wire around a bar made of iron. It must be connected to an electrical circuit.
