Overall - I would say that The Man in the Red Bandanna is one of the best non-fiction books that I have read. It is a similar style to another good non-fiction book, Unbroken. The way the author describes scenery and characters makes everything come to life, and ends up being very inspiring, making you want to make a difference. I would recommend this book to anyone who mainly reads fiction, but wants to read non-fiction, and to anyone who liked the book "Unbroken". -----------------------------------------------------The movie was also very well done. However, due to a limited time, the movie was only able to give a basic overview of the story of Welles Crowther, almost ignoring the bulk of his childhood, a big part of the book. The lighting and music was good and the transitions were also good. I thought that it was very clever to transition to the events of 9/11 by using a photo with the Twin Towers in the background. I would recommend the movie to anyone who wants a basic knowledge of Welles Crowther.
