How meat contributes to climate change
Livestock(Including Steak, Pork, Chicken) is 14% of global gas. It is equal to the amount of CO2 transportation(Like Cars, Planes and Buses) we use produce.
Steak has a bigger carbon footprint than chicken, fish or vegetables.
Steak: Emitting 330g of Carbon
Chicken Emitting 52g of Carbon
Vegetables: Emitting 14g of Carbon
Fish: Emitting 40g of Carbon
Solution: We could eat less steak and more of vegetables and have a Mediterranean diet. Chicken and Fish could be 2 or 3 times a week. But Steak and Pork could be once a month.
Keywords
Animals create lots of Methane gas that is a green house gas
Vegan: It is a person that does not wear or eat any products produced by livestocks.
Livestock
Emission
Mediterranean diet: It is us eating chicken and fish twice a week, beef/steak once a month.
Carbon/Carbon pollution
Greenhouse gases
Global Warming: Caused by Green House Gases(Methane, CO2 and Nitrogen) we produce.
Pollution
Problem: Methane is 25x more potent than Carbon Dioxide
Solution: You can change cow's diet to more digestible food.
There was a 19% drop of meat in the USA
Takes up huge amount of land
