Deltoids
The Deltoids are muscles that prevents bones from dislocating when lifting something heavy. For example, when doing dead lifts, your deltoids will help you have a strong muscular strcuture with the reduce risk of dislocation
Abdominals
Abdominals are are muscles that help to support movement and helps to hold your organs in place when you are performing an exercise. For example, when you are performing core exercises the abdominal muscle helps you to keep your balance when trying to perform something like the plank.
Pectorals
Pectorals are mainly used to help to control the movement of your arms and help your ribcage expand outwards when you perform a deep inhale. for example, When lifting really heavy weights you would take a deep breath and lift your arms up at the same time this is all because of your pectorals helping you move your ribs and arms.
Obliques
the Obliques are muscles that are used to compress your chest to your abnormal cavity and also helps to rotate your spine when you turn your body. for example, when breathing whilst doing the exercise, the oblique helps to pull the chest downwards when your breath at a fast rate. this helps to compress the abdominal cavity
Glutes Maximus
The Gluteus Maximus is a muscle that controls the rotation of the hip joint, which also rotates the thigh as well. this helps the thigh extend. For example, if your doing a warm up and performing stretches, your Gluteus Maximus will support your thighs rotation when preparing your leg muscles.
Triceps
The main function of the triceps is to use the forearm to extend it and make the whole arm become straight. For example, When performing bicep curls, the triceps works together with the bicep to make the arm extend and straighten.
Soleus
The main function for this muscle is controls the function of your calf muscles when actively moving. for example, the soleus is a vital thing to have as it helps you keep balance when running or sprinting
Latissimus Dorsi
the main function for this muscle is that it help to extend your shoulder muscles and to keep you up right by controlling your back. for example, if you were to swim this muscle helps to shape you back in a way to be able to swim at a fast pace.
Biceps
Biceps are a large muscle that is located on the front of your upper arm. it helps you to lift things off the ground. For example, if you are doing dumbbell lifts you would use your bicep to lift it up.
Quadriceps
Quadriceps are four muscles that work together to help you move, walk and stand. they are located at the front of your thigh. for example, If you are out for a run your Quadriceps will help you to move with ease and efficiently.
Tibialis Anterior
A Tibialis Anterior is a muscle that is responsible for dorsiflexing and inverting your foot when travelling at high speeds. for example, when your performing a 100 metre sprint, your foot keeps up and allows you to move at that speed with ease due to the Tibialis Anterior.
Trapezius
the main function of this muscle is it is used to actively move your head neck and arms. this includes twisting and rotating. For example when performing yoga , you would steady rotate your neck around clockwise. this could only be perform by the trapezius muscle.
Hamstrings
The main function of this muscle is the movement of both your knees and hips. for example, you would use this muscle during squatting.
Gastrocnemius
the main function for this muscle is that it helps to flex your foot and your hamstring. for example, when running this muscle helps you perform powerful strides when running.
