The Use of Song Lyric in Teaching

Definition
Listening as an interactive
process in which listeners are involved in constructing meaning
Listening is naturally considered as the primary skill and an important capability of social interactions
Types
Selective -> listen for names, numbers, a grammatical category, directions ( in a map exercise ), or certain facts and events
Extensive -> Listening to develop a top-down, global understanding of spoken language
Responsive -> Listening to a relatively short stretch of language (a greeting ,question, command)
Intensive -> Listening for perception of the components (word, pronunciation)
