Elements of Music
Dynamics
Dynamics is the variation of quiet and loud in a piece of music, which helps create a mood. It is distinguished with different symbols that are placed under the staff.
Texture
Texture is how the different elements of a piece of music interact with each other. It is composed of tempo, tone, melody, rhythm, and harmony.
Monophony, homophony, polyphony, and heterophony
Pitch
Pitch is the frequency of the vibrations of sound waves moving through an instrument. It is controlled by air flow and proper notes being played.
Range, frequency, tonality, melody, conjunct, and disjunct
Timbre
. Timbre is the distinguishing characteristics of a sound given by overtones. It is the words we use to describe the sounds we hear in music. It allows different instruments in the same category to be differentiated by the listener.
Woodwind, brass, percussion, strings, and voice
Each instrument has its own sound/tone. Although some are very similar if you listen closely they have unique characteristics to distinguish them.
Instrument choice will create a mood or emotion. Instruments must blend and compliment each other to accomplish this.
Duration
Duration is the amount of time a note, phrase, section, or composition is played for.
Beat, meter, rhythm, tempo, simple time, and compound time

Form is the structure of a piece of music and how it is arranged. This includes patterns, repetition, or uniform.

Warm, robust, nasally, piercing, raspy, metallic, etc.
Emotional Response:
Victorious, elated, blissful, serene, sour, etc.
